Sweeney’s, The “64” and O2 Nightclub are three of Gorey’s most popular hospitality venues all situated under the one roof and run by the SD Group. The Group acquired the trio in 2007 and assigned Paul Spencer as General Manager. Collectively the bars cater for all needs, whether’s it’s a lively night out with friends, a few quiet pints of your favourite brew, tasty cocktail or watching live sport, they have it all.

Sweeney’s, the popular local hangout is open 7 days a week. A small yet lively bar, the perfect spot to kick start your evening or pop in for a friendly mid-week pint and a chat!

The beautifully decorated “64” Bar is most popular for large group bookings. It boasts an eclectic mix of spirits, cocktails, wines and craft beers. Tasty finger food options are also available on request and guests can enjoy late drinks.

The O2 nightclub is located just upstairs from the “64” and open every weekend. The club is one of the liveliest late night spots in Gorey, it provides live DJ, large dance floor, outside smoking area and VIP area for functions, events and private parties.

General Manager, Neal O’Reilly

Neal first started working for the SD Group when he was just 15 years old in 2002, working in Mc D’s/Mezz bar until 2005 when he left for a period, returning in 2007 to work in 64.

Neal, an integral part of the SD Group is today General Manager of the three venues at 64 Main Street, Gorey; Nel Sweeney’s, The 64 and O2 Nightclub.
